GE Current, a Daintree company, has announced that its latest medium and high Photosynthetic Photon Flux (PPF) light output horticultural LED fixtures are now available to order in Europe. The Arize Factor ML300 Series offers a medium PPF output for crops like leafy greens, herbs and microgreens, for growth in large-scale, single or multi-layer facilities, while the Arize Factor ML900 Series is designed specifically for crops that require more intense lighting, such as cannabis cultivation. With a long lifespan of 50,000 hours to L90, the Arize Factor ML Series offers a choice of five light spectrum recipes for targeted plant response, including two broad spectrum options designed to provide a more comfortable working environment whilst delivering the optimal light wavelengths to maximise crop yields. New, 0-10V dimming also allows growers to adjust the light intensity according to the stage of growth, generating less light stress in younger and more delicate plants.
Like Current’s broader Arize portfolio, the Arize Factor ML Series is backed by a five-year warranty and has undergone the industry’s most stringent quality testing, earning an IP65 rating against water and dust ingress. The fixtures are quick and easy to install, with the ability to both rack-mount and suspend them using universal wire hangers, compatible with most existing indoor installations. Thanks to an extra-wide 140-degree angle of light dispersion, the Arize Factor ML Series luminaires can be installed farther apart, providing uniform lighting across a large 1.2m x 1.2m surface area, using up to 3x fewer fixtures compared to lower intensity products. The external power supply can also be mounted up to 1.2m away from the light bars, allowing growers to make the most of the available vertical space for crop cultivation.
The Arize Factor ML900 Series is available in a 2-bar array, offering a PPF output of up to 1741µmol/s. The Arize Factor ML300 Series is available in 4-, 5- or 6-bar arrays with the 6-bar array offering a maximum PPF output of up to 1728µmol/s at just 622W depending on the spectrum recipe selected. The Factor portfolio also offers market-leading efficacy of up to 2.8µmol/J promoting higher yields with lower energy bills to help maximize profitability.
